Saudi AI Firm Humain Unveils 6GW Data Centre Network & New OS

Saudi-based AI company Humain unveiled two major initiatives this week: a plan to build roughly 6 gigawatts (GW) of data-centre capacity in the Kingdom and the launch of a new AI-driven operating system called Humain 1. Announced at the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh, CEO Tareq Amin said Humain 1 enables users to control their computers using spoken intent instead of traditional icons and menus, positioning the system as an alternative to dominant platforms like Windows or macOS. Humain was launched in May 2025 under the guidance of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and aims to advance Saudi Arabia’s AI-infrastructure ambitions. The company's scope spans data centres, cloud services, AI models and now operating-system development. The 6 GW figure reflects Humain’s roadmap for data-centre build-out over the coming years. Earlier disclosures set initial targets of 1.9 GW by 2030, scaling to upwards of 6.6 GW by 2034.
