Roblox to Open Regional Headquarters in Riyadh
The new Riyadh base will support Roblox creators across MENA and expand its role in Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem.
Roblox, the online gaming and user-generated content platform that lets players create and play games made by other users, plans to establish its regional headquarters in Riyadh, expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia and its support for creators across the Middle East and North Africa.
The move is being supported by the Ministry of Investment, Riyadh Creative District and the General Authority of Media Regulation, and will focus on creator development, education and broader participation in the Kingdom’s gaming ecosystem.
The expansion follows a partnership announced earlier this year with Savvy Games Group, aimed at bringing Roblox’s development tools, training and creator support into the region’s gaming infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia’s gaming strategy includes targets to establish 250 gaming and esports companies and create 39,000 jobs by 2030, as part of wider efforts to grow the digital economy and develop local creative industries.
