Hub71 Launches Vertical for Life Sciences in Abu Dhabi

The new platform targets BioTech, MedTech and digital health startups with ecosystem access in Abu Dhabi. Main Body: Abu Dhabi-based tech ecosystem Hub71 has unveiled a new vertical, Hub71+ Life Sciences, aimed at accelerating innovation and commercialisation across biotechnology, medical technology and digital-health sectors. Announced during Hub71’s annual Impact Event, the platform enables startups to engage directly with regulators, hospitals, investors and industry partners — offering an accelerated route from research and development through to clinical validation and market access. The launch forms part of a broader strategy by Abu Dhabi to establish itself as a global hub for life-sciences innovation. Founding partners include the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) and the HELM cluster (Health, Endurance, Longevity and Medicine) initiative. Anchor partners include Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Ultrahuman. Startups accepted into Hub71’s broader ecosystem now gain access to this new sector-specific track alongside other specialist programmes such as Hub71+ AI, Hub71+ ClimateTech and Hub71+ Digital Assets, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s growing role in high-growth innovation markets. With the MENA healthcare-services market projected to reach $412 billion by 2032, this launch places Abu Dhabi in a strategic position to attract global life-sciences ventures and support their growth from ideation through scale.
