Le Lab Gallery Relocates to La Viennoise in Downtown Cairo
The collectible design gallery has moved from Sheikh Zayed City to La Viennoise with a new hybrid gallery and atelier.
Contemporary collectible design gallery Le LAB has relocated from Sheikh Zayed City, where it had been based since its founding in 2021, to La Viennoise in Downtown Cairo.
Founded by Egyptian art and design collector Rasheed Kamel, Le LAB’s new space sits within La Viennoise’s renovated courtyard and is conceived as a hybrid gallery, creative studio and experimental atelier.
The move follows a period of growing international visibility for Le LAB. Most recently, the gallery participated in Frieze Masters London with ‘Through a Collector’s Eye’, an exhibition co-curated by Kamel and New York-based Russell Piccione.
The presentation brought together works by Egyptian artists and designers including Samir Fouad, Abdel Badie Abdel Hay, Khaled Zaki, Mohamad Noaman and Moataz Nasr.
