El Alamein Will Get Its First Book Fair This Summer

The inaugural El Alamein Book Fair will run from August 1st to September 15th, offering visitors six weeks of books, workshops and cultural activities.

Organised by the Egyptian General Book Organization (GEBO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the fair will bring together participating publishers offering a wide selection of books, new releases and publications across a range of subjects, with titles available at affordable prices.

The programme will also include activities for families and children, featuring creative workshops, educational talks, reading sessions and interactive performances throughout the event.

According to GEBO, the fair aims to expand access to knowledge, promote cultural equity and bring books and creative programming to Egypt's new cities.
