Art D’Égypte  Is Bringing Jiang Qiong Er to the Pyramids

Chinese artist Jiang Qiong Er will join the sixth edition of Art D’Égypte’s Forever Is Now, bringing her first major work in Egypt to the Giza plateau from November 4th to 28th, 2026.

Working between China and France, Jiang’s practice spans painting, sculpture, installation and public art, guided by her idea of “Universal Art” and its ability to cross borders, cultures and centuries. Her work sits in the permanent collections of UNESCO, the British Museum, the V&A and Musée Guimet, while her creative résumé also includes co-founding luxury house Shang Xia with Hermès.

For Forever Is Now 06, Jiang is creating a site-specific installation inspired by the shared histories of Egypt and China. Conceived as a passage to walk through rather than simply an object to look at, the work will be unveiled at the exhibition’s opening.

Her participation also lands during the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, making the ancient plateau a fitting meeting point for two civilisations with plenty to say about leaving a mark.
