OMPAY Earns Global Information Security Certification
The certification covers the platform's consumer wallet and business payment services.
OMPAY, the digital wallet and fintech platform operated by Oman's telecommunications provider Omantel, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System, covering both its consumer wallet and OMPAY Business payment solutions.
The internationally recognised certification confirms that the platform's information security practices meet the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard for managing information security risks and protecting sensitive data.
According to OMPAY, the certification reflects its approach to information security, risk management and operational governance as it continues to expand digital financial services for consumers and businesses across Oman.
Through its consumer wallet, OMPAY enables users to make payments, transfer money and manage their finances within a single platform. OMPAY Business provides payment solutions for merchants and enterprises designed to meet internationally recognised security standards.
The certification comes as digital payment adoption continues to grow in Oman, with financial service providers placing greater emphasis on cybersecurity, data protection and operational resilience.
