Photo of the Week: Sara Saad

Saudi photographer Sara Saad thrives on capturing moments that highlight the vulnerabilities and narratives of individual identity. With an academic foundation in film production and direction, Saad views herself as a visual storyteller with a specific interest in portraiture. She shares that her work is driven by an innate desire to capture "the everyday moments that reveal a deeper sense of place."

For this edition of Photo of the Week, Saad selected an image taken at the world's largest camel market in Buraidah, Al-Qassim. The photo captures her intrigue with how closely buyers gathered around the camels, carefully assessing their features and behaviour before making a decision — a moment that appears bizarre at first glance, but in reality offers deeper insight into Saudi heritage.
