SELECTS: Rising Pop Star Donia Wael Styles Her Many Lores 

Long before she stepped fully into the spotlight, Egyptian singer-songwriter Donia Wael was already soundtracking late-night drives and heartbreaks through tracks like “El 3asal”, “Bekya”, and “Arooh Le Fein”. More recently, she has expanded her creative universe beyond music, balancing acting roles in series like Rivo and El Harsha El Sabaa with the release of her introspective EP Bifkrny Beek, which culminated in her first live session backed by an all-female band.

But if her music often feels like a collection of emotional worlds, her wardrobe isn't much different. For this edition of Selects, Donia styles what she jokingly calls her different "lores", five versions of herself that exist somewhere between reality and imagination. From keeping things simple and feeling whimsically social to becoming the main character in the studio and eventually stepping on stage for the crowd, each look captures a different chapter in the ongoing Donia Wael cinematic universe.
