Omar Fayed Joins Frosinone Ahead of Serie A Return
The 23-year-old Egyptian defender has completed a permanent move from Fenerbahçe after three seasons on loan across Europe.
Omar Fayed is heading to Italy for the next chapter of his career, with the Egyptian defender joining Frosinone as the newly promoted returns to Serie A.
The 23-year-old has completed a permanent move from Fenerbahçe after spending the past three seasons on loan across Europe, including spells with Novi Pazar in Serbia, Beerschot in Belgium and Arouca in Portugal.
Fayed is set to become the sixth Egyptian player to feature in Serie A, following Hazem Emam with Udinese, Ahmed Hossam Mido with Roma, Hany Saeed with Bari, Ahmed Hegazi with Fiorentina and Mohamed Salah with Fiorentina and Roma.
The move comes as Frosinone prepare for their first season back in Italy’s top flight after two years in Serie B, after securing automatic promotion by finishing second in the 2025/26 Serie B season.
