Two Mongolian Falcons Sell for SAR 350,000 at Riyadh Auction
The birds fetched SAR 250,000 and SAR 100,000 during the second night of the Mongolian Falcon Auction in Riyadh.
Two Mongolian falcons sold for a combined SAR 350,000 during the second night of the Mongolian Falcon Auction at the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 in Riyadh on October 5th. Bidding for the first bird opened at SAR 50,000 before closing at SAR 250,000, while the second falcon sold for SAR 100,000.
For the second consecutive year, the exhibition has dedicated a section to Mongolian falcons, with particular focus on the Mongolian Hurr. The bird is known for its large size, long wingspan and endurance, with colouring ranging from light to dark brown, traits that have made it popular among falconers in Saudi Arabia and across the region.
The auction gives falconers and collectors the opportunity to inspect and bid directly on birds from Mongolia, while the dedicated section also reflects the exhibition’s expanding international participation and the cross-border heritage surrounding falconry.
