Dubai's Yubi Handroll Bar is Heading to Jeddah

Yubi Handroll Bar, the Dubai-born restaurant concept by chef Reif Othman and hospitality group 7 Management, is preparing to open its first Saudi Arabian location in Jeddah.
The opening will mark Othman's debut project in the Kingdom, although an opening date and exact location have yet to be announced. Yubi specialises in handrolls, or temaki, which are made by wrapping crisp nori around seasoned rice and fillings such as fresh fish, seafood and vegetables. Designed to be eaten immediately after preparation, the rolls are assembled in front of diners at the restaurant's counter.
Alongside its signature handrolls, the menu includes sashimi, nigiri and salads, as well as hot dishes such as wagyu gyoza and tori ramen. Handroll options range from spicy tuna and prawn tempura to Japanese wagyu with shrimp tempura and akami with foie gras. The concept first launched in Dubai as the UAE's first licensed homegrown handroll bar, blending Japanese street culture with hip-hop-inspired music, fashion and interiors.
The Jeddah opening follows the recent arrival of Aiku, described as Saudi Arabia's first dedicated handroll bar, as the Kingdom's Japanese dining scene continues to expand.
