Kordofani Debut on Raad Records with Balie Funk-Inspired Single ‘Judo’

Over the past few months, clips of Sudanese rap prodigy Kordofani carving out a presence in Cairo’s hip-hop scene have been making the rounds on social media, even earning nods of approval from Egyptian heavyweight Wegz.

Gifted with a sharp artistic instinct, Kordofani has been attracting the most discerning of listeners with his tightly controlled flows and hard-hitting bars, which touch on themes of adversity, identity, and resilience, while holding space for hope and longing for his homeland. His alter ego, SuperZool, channels a kind of heightened perception, a figure shaped by struggle, using music to spotlight what often goes unseen.

Now, the Sudanese rapper and soul singer has joined the roster of Egypt’s RAAD Records with debut single, ‘Judo’. Produced by Rashed, the track fuses Sudanese rap flows and swagger with an infectious Brazilian baile funk arrangement, setting a warm and undeniably bouncy tone fitting for the summer season ahead. 

With ‘Judo’, Kordofani seems to be stepping into a new chapter, exploring new sounds while staying rooted in his unmistakable perspective.

في خطوة جديدة تعكس تنوّع المشهد الموسيقي العربي، أطلق الفنان السوداني كوردوفاني أحدث أغانيه بعنوان "جودو"، مقدّمًا تجربة موسيقية تمزج بين أكثر من عالم صوتي في عمل واحد.

تجمع الأغنية بين الراب السوداني وإيقاعات الفانك البرازيلية، مع حضور واضح لعناصر الإلكترونيك والريجاتون واللاتين ميوزك، ما يمنحها طابعًا حيويًا وإيقاعًا سريعًا يجذب المستمع من اللحظة الأولى.

تولّى الإنتاج الموزّع المصري راشد، الذي قدّم معالجة موسيقية متوازنة تعكس هوية التراك وتدعم تنوّعه.
