Alt Orient Label to Host Live Electronic Showcase in Amman Feb 12th

Alt Orient, a Levant-based independent record label that has been actively spotlighting the alternative and electronic music scene across West Asia and Africa, is hosting a special all-night showcase in Amman on February 12th.
Launched in late 2016, Alt Orient initially started as a platform to document and highlight music from the Levantine alternative and electronic scene, covering a wide range of electronic sub-genres, such as avant-garde experimental, indie electronica, organic house, downtempo and everything in between. The imprint has since focused on releasing music with live electronic acts from across the globe, with its catalogue featuring the likes of El Morabba3, psych-funk band Yalnayak, and Turkish producers Wapi & Neta.
Held for the first time at an old theatre in Jabal Amman, the showcase will feature a series of live electronic sets and performances from a roster of Arab and international talents. The lineup includes Lebanese pop producer and live act Yazan Sarayrah, globetrotting vinyl selector Felonious Funk, and local DJ Abu El-Khell, with Georgian singer-songwriter and producer Tamada as a special guest.
The event will run from 9 PM to 3 AM. Tickets are available through the link in @alt_orient’s Instagram bio and at the door.
