3ala Mazag: Waleed El-Moghazy [Curated Playlist]

We’re back with a new instalment of our artist-curated playlist series, ‘3ala Mazag’. In this episode, Egyptian actor, writer, and stand-up comedian Waleed El-Moghazy shares the mood-setting tracks currently soundtracking his days, alongside the tunes he’s had on heavy rotation lately.

Since his emergence in the Egyptian creative industry, El-Moghazy has built a loyal following, not only with his sense of humour, but also with his contributions to a number of successful works in film and television, including the Ramadan 2026 hit series, ‘80 Bako’, and the 2023 series ‘Lab Coat’, along with the 2025 comedy ‘Feha Eh Yaani’. Earlier this year, he debuted his first full 90-minute stand-up special, ‘Bazet Menny’ in Cairo. 

El-Moghazy's playlist features a wide variety of genres and sounds - from indie/alternative to rap and shaabi - moving from Evanescence’s ‘My Immortal’ and Weges Blood’s ‘Andromeda’ to Wegz’s ‘Khesert El Sha3b’, Abyusif’s ‘Hal Di Kat Hayatak’ and Hamo Eltekha’s ‘Kattar El Domo3 Fel 3ein’.
