Thursday May 7th Declared Public Holiday for Labour Day

Egypt has officially moved its Labour Day public holiday to Thursday, May 7th, instead of its usual date on Friday, May 1st.

The decision, announced by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, aligns with the government’s ongoing policy of shifting midweek holidays to Thursdays to extend weekends. The paid day off will apply to both public and private sector employees.
