The Sharjah Sports Council has launched Kafaat, a digital platform designed to identify and develop a pool of sports and administrative talent for future leadership positions across the emirate's sports sector.

The platform allows professionals to register their qualifications, experience and expertise, while also enabling members of the public and industry peers to nominate individuals they believe could contribute to the sector.

According to the council, the database will serve as a resource when considering appointments to positions including sports club board members, committee leaders, federation representatives, and specialists in areas such as governance, investment, marketing, finance and talent management.

The council said Kafaat is intended to broaden the pool of qualified candidates by combining direct registrations with third-party nominations. By consolidating professional credentials and experience in one platform, it aims to support future leadership appointments and specialist roles across Sharjah's sports ecosystem.
