Sharjah Extends Paid Parking Hours to Midnight From July 1st
Paid parking will operate from 8 AM to midnight, while seasonal subscription fees will remain unchanged.
Paid public parking hours will be extended to midnight across Sharjah city, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid from Tuesday, July 1st, under updated timings announced by Sharjah Municipality.
The changes unify parking hours across the emirate by extending the operating times of zones marked with yellow signs to match those marked with blue signs. Paid parking will now operate daily from 8 AM until midnight.
Parking will remain free on Fridays and official public holidays, except in designated zones that operate seven days a week, including public holidays.
The emirate has around 124,000 paid public parking spaces. The municipality noted that the new operating hours apply to these spaces and are separate from the smart parking system used in selected locations, particularly tourist areas.
Seasonal subscription fees will remain unchanged. However, subscribers will receive an additional two hours of daily parking exemption, increasing the exemption period from 14 hours to 16 hours.
Motorists have been advised to observe the new timings and pay parking fees through the available channels, including SMS, the Digital Sharjah app and the municipality's seasonal subscription service.
