Saudi Cabinet Approves State Revenues Law & Training Visa

The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, has approved the State Revenues Law and endorsed the introduction of a training visa for international trainees during its session in Jeddah.

According to the Cabinet, the new visa will be issued in accordance with approved regulatory arrangements, providing a framework for international trainees undertaking programmes in Saudi Arabia.

The session also reviewed Saudi Arabia's recent international engagements, including a phone call between the Crown Prince and US President Donald Trump covering bilateral cooperation and regional and international developments. The Cabinet also discussed official talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, which reaffirmed both countries' commitment to strengthening cooperation in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and Canada's economic agenda.

The Cabinet noted the signing of several Saudi-Canadian memoranda of understanding covering the establishment of the Saudi-Canadian Coordination Council, cooperation in the energy sector, investment in artificial intelligence, and skills development.

It also welcomed agreements reached during the Saudi Arabia-Canada Investment Forum spanning mining, engineering, infrastructure, advanced industries, education and training, financial services, and information and communications technology.
