Over 1 Million Sqm Allocated for Tourism Projects in Hurghada
Sixteen plots in South Magawish will support new hotels, serviced accommodation, water parks and tourism facilities.
The Tourism Development Authority has issued 16 final land allocation decisions covering more than 1 million square metres in the South Magawish Tourism Centre, south of Hurghada, for new hotel, tourism service and entertainment projects.
The allocations are expected to add around 856 hotel rooms, alongside professionally managed accommodation units, while an existing project will expand to 946 hotel units. Plans also include two water parks, one of which will be operated by an international company, as well as tourism service centres and entertainment areas intended to serve existing and future developments.
Mostafa Abdel Wahab, CEO of the Tourism Development Authority, said the projects will be developed according to approved timelines, with the authority continuing to monitor implementation. Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy said the allocations form part of wider efforts to increase hotel capacity and support integrated tourism development in Red Sea destinations.
