New Service Lets Visitors Check Crowds at Prophet's Mosque in Real Time

Visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah can now check crowd levels before arriving thanks to a new Salam path tracking service launched by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

The platform provides real-time information on occupancy levels along the Salam path, allowing visitors to plan their arrival and choose entry times based on current conditions.

According to the authority, the service uses a simple colour-coded system to indicate crowd density. Green signals light occupancy, yellow indicates moderate activity and red denotes high crowd levels.

By providing up-to-date information remotely, the tool aims to make access to the mosque smoother and reduce the need for visitors to assess congestion once they are already on site.

The authority said the service is intended to help people select the most suitable time for their visit and improve movement along one of the mosque's key access routes.
