July 2nd Declared Paid Holiday for June 30 Revolution Anniversary

A paid public holiday has been designated for Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, to mark the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, according to a decision issued by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The observance has been moved from its original date of Tuesday, June 30th.

The decision covers employees working in ministries and government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies and companies affiliated with the public business sector.

Work at these entities will be suspended on July 2nd in accordance with the scope and timing specified in the decision.

Examinations, however, will continue as scheduled. According to the decision, tests will proceed on their previously designated dates and in line with timetables approved by the relevant authorities.

The holiday arrangement defines the entities covered by the paid leave and clarifies that educational assessments will not be postponed as part of the shift in the observance date.
