Damietta Port Confirms Normal Operations After Drone Attack

Operations at Egypt’s Damietta Port are continuing as normal, according to the Damietta Port Authority, following the recent drone attack that targeted two vessels inside the port.

In a statement, the authority confirmed that maritime navigation, cargo handling and all operational activities remain unaffected, adding that work is proceeding according to schedule across the port.

The update comes after Egypt's Cabinet announced that preliminary investigations found the fire that broke out aboard two ships at Damietta Port on July 29th was caused by a drone, with authorities continuing their investigation into the incident.
