Arabic Adaptation of ‘The 1% Club’ is Coming to SBC

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority has secured rights from BBC Studios to produce the first Arabic adaptation of ‘The 1% Club’, with the new version set to air on SBC under the title ‘1% Challenge’.

Registration is now open to contestants aged 18 and above, with applications closing on October 20th. The competition will offer a cash prize of up to SAR 250,000.

Unlike traditional general knowledge quiz shows, ‘1% Challenge’ centres on logic, observation, analysis and deduction. One hundred contestants answer increasingly difficult questions before reaching a final challenge based on a question that only 1% of a test sample answered correctly.

The format also encourages viewers to play along and compare their answers with those of the contestants.

‘The 1% Club’ first launched in the UK and has since expanded to 15 markets, including the United States, Australia, France, Germany and Spain, with Italy and Sweden among the latest countries to produce local versions.
