The Cultural Development Fund at the Ministry of Culture has opened applications for the 31st Aswan International Sculpture Symposium, which will run from January 4th to February 5th, 2027. Applications are open until November 10th, 2026.
Proposed sculptures must not exceed two cubic metres, with Egyptian and international artists required to submit the relevant documents through separate application forms. The fund will cover travel in accordance with participation terms and provide full hotel accommodation for selected artists.
The programme will also include a youth workshop, a separate workshop during the final three weeks of the symposium and a cultural visit to selected landmarks. The symposium brings together Egyptian and international sculptors to work in Aswan, drawing on the city’s stone materials and long association with sculpture while encouraging the exchange of artistic practices and expertise.
