Written by Salah El Juhaini, the film follows young paranormal investigators confronting unexplained horrors.
A new Egyptian horror thriller titled 'Mamsoos'—Arabic for 'Possessed'—is gearing up for production, bringing together a cast of rising stars for a supernatural story centred on haunted locations and urban legends.
The film follows a group of young investigators who set out to explore sites believed to be haunted, only to find themselves caught in a chain of increasingly disturbing events that blur the line between myth and reality.
The cast includes Yasmina El Abd, Omar Rozik, Youssef Raafat, Abdelrahman Mohamed and Tara Abboud. Currently in pre-production, 'Mamsoos' is being mounted with a sizeable budget and international production standards. Creative sessions are ongoing as the team finalises the remaining details ahead of filming.
The film is written by Salah El Juhaini, known for the 'Welad Rizk' franchise, and directed by Yasser Al Yasri. The project marks their second collaboration following the 2019 thriller '122'.
Produced by Salah El Juhaini and Mohamed Nassar, 'Mamsoos' is backed by G Creations, Film Square and Big Time. Filming is expected to begin soon.
