Fayoum Film Festival Opens Submissions for 2026 Edition

Film submissions are now open for the 3rd edition of the Fayoum Film Festival for Environmental Film & Contemporary Arts, which will take place in Fayoum from November 25th to 30th, 2026.

The festival is accepting feature-length and short films across both fiction and documentary formats, with eligible work expected to engage with environmental issues, nature, climate, humanity or the relationship between people and the world around them.

Submissions remain open until October 1st and can be made through the link in the festival’s official bio.

The festival describes its platform as a space where cinema, contemporary art and environmental action meet, with the open call focused on films that can contribute to wider conversations around the planet and its future.

The 2026 edition is being held with support from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Local Development and Environment, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Fayoum Governorate.
