Cairo Film Festival Opens 47th Edition Submissions
Filmmakers can submit entries until August 1st ahead of the November programme.
The Cairo International Film Festival has opened submissions for its 47th edition, with entries accepted from April 15th to August 1st, 2026 through the festival’s official website.
An early bird submission window will run until May 22nd, ahead of the festival’s scheduled dates from November 11th to 20th in Cairo.
Held annually under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, the Cairo International Film Festival is one of the oldest film festivals in the Arab world and Africa.
It remains the only festival in the region registered under Category A by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, placing it among a select group of globally recognised festivals.
