Fries have spent long enough playing second fiddle to burgers. Side Piece, a new spot dedicated to loaded fries, is giving them the main character treatment with its first-ever branch, now open at The Drive By Waterway in New Cairo.

The name comes with a little backstory. As Side Piece puts it, fries have been “Always ordered. Never the star.” That’s changing with a menu built around fries loaded up with different toppings and sauces, turning the side dish into the whole reason for the order.

Among the options are Smokey Brisket Fries and Avocado Lime Fries, giving you everything from smoky, savoury toppings to fresher, tangier flavours.
