Ministry of Interior Launches Electronic Traffic Violations Certificat
Motorists will receive the certificate digitally as soon as fines are paid through approved electronic-payment channels.
The Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of an electronic system for issuing traffic-violation clearance certificates, officially replacing physical paperwork. The move was introduced in cooperation with the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Under the new mechanism, motorists will receive the certificate digitally as soon as fines are paid through approved electronic-payment channels. The document — used to prove that no penalties are owed — will be registered automatically in central databases managed by both traffic authorities and the prosecution.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the transition is part of a shift away from paper-based procedures to reduce administrative time, prevent forged certificates and speed up vehicle licensing, registration transfers and customs clearance at ports.
The new digital certificate becomes effective nationwide starting Saturday, December 6th, eliminating the need for citizens to visit traffic units or obtain printed proof.
