Minister of Social Solidarity Visits Littlest Lamb Home in El Obour

Minister of Social Solidarity, H.E. Dr. Maya Morsy, visited The Littlest Lamb Foundation’s children’s home in El Obour, meeting the residents and taking a closer look at the organisation’s family-based care model.

The minister was welcomed by founder Mira Riad and reviewed the home’s programmes, including education support, mental health services, life-skills training, and youth empowerment. The visit also featured a discussion that addressed stigma associated with children without parental care and the role of community-based living in supporting dignity, opportunity, and belonging.

Staff at the home said the conversations offered the children an important sense of visibility and encouragement. Littlest Lamb operates on a small-family model, where children live in close-knit units supported by shared services designed to prioritise emotional development and individual attention.

The foundation noted that the visit underscored the need to continue broadening public understanding of alternative care and the importance of giving children a home environment rooted in dignity.
