Hail Hosts International Baja Rally Across the Great Nafud Desert

Hail will once again become a winter rally destination as the Hail Toyota International Baja takes place from January 28th to 31st, 2026, drawing professional drivers and riders from across the world. The event brings together global and regional Baja series for cars and motorcycles, while also opening the Saudi Toyota Baja Championship for the season.

Organised by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport, the rally is held in cooperation with the Hail Region Emirate and the Hail Region Development Authority, with Jameel Motorsport named as official partner. Support is also provided by the Saudi Motorsport Marshals Club.

The 2026 edition sits on several international calendars, including the World Baja Cup and Middle East Baja Cup for cars, sanctioned by the International Automobile Federation, as well as the World Baja Cup and Asia Baja Cup for motorcycles under the International Motorcycling Federation. The convergence of these championships places Hail on the global motorsport map during the winter rally season.

Routes will run through the Great Nafud Desert, known for its vast dunes, open sands and technical tracks. Winter conditions are expected to shape the racing experience, with navigation and endurance playing a decisive role across the varied terrain surrounding Hail.

Competition unfolds over three stages, beginning with a 35-kilometre prologue that includes a six-kilometre timed section. The first full stage spans 417 kilometres, with 245 kilometres raced against the clock, followed by a final stage of 323 kilometres, including a 151-kilometre timed segment.

Beyond the racing, the Hail Toyota International Baja will feature a broader programme of activities combining sport, entertainment and community events.
