UAE’s Buildroid AI Raises $2M Pre-Seed to Deploy Construction Robots

UAE-based startup Buildroid AI has raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding round to accelerate deployment of AI-powered robotic solutions in construction. The round was led by Tim Draper, known for early bets on Tesla, SpaceX and Skype.
Founded in 2025 by CEO Slava Solonitsyn, Buildroid AI is building a platform that connects Building Information Models (BIM) to on-site execution via Digital Twin simulations and proprietary AI orchestration software. The startup’s first target is automating labour-intensive partition wall workflows and block-laying in the UAE’s $42.75 billion construction market.
With the funding, Buildroid AI plans to expand pilot programmes, refine autonomous robotic crew capabilities and initiate commercial deployment of block-laying robots and mobile delivery robots in partnership with general contractors. The first deployment is slated for Q2 next year.
The next phase includes rolling out autonomous mobile robots that deliver concrete blocks from pallets to the block-laying robot, eliminating manual support and improving productivity and quality on site.
