Takahouse Raises $1.5 Million to Expand Mobile Game Portfolio
The Saudi gaming startup will use the funding to develop new titles and build on the audience behind WhistGame.
Saudi gaming startup Takahouse has raised $1.5 million from Impact46, a Riyadh-based venture capital firm, to develop new products and expand its mobile gaming business.
Founded in 2018, Takahouse develops and publishes games built around social interaction. Its first title, WhistGame, launched in 2021 and has attracted more than 140,000 users.
The company says performance from WhistGame is informing how it studies player behaviour, refines retention and develops additional titles for regional audiences.
The new capital will support further product development and improvements to Takahouse’s existing capabilities as it broadens its portfolio beyond a single game.
Its strategy remains focused on mobile titles that combine entertainment with communication between players, using the model established through WhistGame as a base for future releases.
The funding adds to growing investment activity around Saudi-developed gaming companies as the local market expands across development, publishing and digital entertainment.
