PayTabs Kuwait & BEDE Launch BEDE Shop for SME Digital Storefronts
PayTabs Kuwait and BEDE Kuwait, powered by Zain, focus on web enablement, link-based payments and QR codes for small merchants in Kuwait.
PayTabs Kuwait and BEDE Kuwait, powered by Zain, announced a partnership at NEXUS 2025 to build a locally optimised financial ecosystem for digital commerce in Kuwait’s SME and startup sectors, combining PayTabs’ payment orchestration technology with BEDE’s fintech expertise.
A pilot of BEDE Shop sits at the centre of the tie-up, described as a social commerce platform for rapid web enablement that lets entrepreneurs launch branded online storefronts in a few clicks, manage products and customise stores, moving from social media presence to a cart-to-checkout operation. The collaboration also supports payments via secure links shared on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook, and introduces static QR codes for in-store transactions.
The initiative is presented as a pillar of Zain Group’s ‘4WARD’ strategy to drive financial inclusion and evolve the digital ecosystem across its regional markets, with leadership from both companies citing an aim to give merchants the flexibility to grow “within Kuwait and beyond.” The platform package also points to simplified invoicing, enhanced security and streamlined payment acceptance intended to serve micro-startups through to large national enterprises.
