Innovation City Launches UAE's First Sovereign AI Data Centre
The new facility gives AI companies access to sovereign compute infrastructure powered by NVIDIA B200 GPUs in the UAE.
Innovation City, an AI-powered free zone in Ras Al Khaimah, and Siada, an IOPn enterprise that builds sovereign AI infrastructure, have launched what they describe as the UAE's first sovereign AI data centre, now live and operational within Innovation City.
Operated by Siada, the facility is the first deployment in a planned network of sovereign AI data centres across the UAE and the wider region. It is powered by NVIDIA B200 GPUs, which the companies said are currently sold out worldwide with waiting lists extending into 2027. According to the companies, all computation takes place within the UAE, with data remaining under the country's jurisdiction.
“This partnership with Siada proves what makes Innovation City different,” said Paul Dawalibi, CEO of Innovation City. “We are not another free zone chasing the AI wave. We are leading it by deeply understanding the exact pain points of technology and AI companies - and solving them head-on with sovereign compute infrastructure that no one else delivers at this scale. If you are an AI company serious about building the future, this is the only ecosystem engineered to help you succeed at speed.”
Companies operating within Innovation City will be able to access computing capacity by the hour, reserve long-term capacity or deploy fully managed on-premises environments. Siada is responsible for building, owning and operating the sovereign compute infrastructure, while Innovation City provides the ecosystem where it has been deployed.
