Healthtech Aumet Raises $12M for AI Healthcare Procurement Platform

Aumet, a Saudi-based healthcare supply chain and procurement platform operating across the Middle East, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round to expand its AI-powered systems across GCC healthcare markets.

The round was led by Emkan Capital with participation from Qatar Development Bank, SABAH Fund, and AAIC. Existing investors Shorooq Partners and Right Side Capital Management also joined the raise alongside healthcare-focused backers Cigalah Group and Salehiya Trading Company.

Founded by Yahya Aqel and Adel Haddad, Aumet connects pharmacies, hospitals, and suppliers through a unified digital platform operating across Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Oman.

The company said its systems are designed to unify procurement, inventory management, and operational decision-making across healthcare providers that often rely on disconnected software and manual workflows.

Aumet’s platform is structured across three product layers. Pulse is aimed at individual pharmacies and combines inventory management, marketplace functions, and AI-supported procurement automation. Chain is designed for multi-branch pharmacy operators through centralised procurement systems, while Enterprise targets hospitals, ministries of health, and national healthcare systems through large-scale AI procurement infrastructure.

Officials said the funding will support expansion of the company’s AI capabilities, broader deployment of enterprise systems, and entry into additional regional markets.
