FRA Approves Licences for Eight Financial Companies in Egypt
Eight companies operating across Egypt’s non-banking financial sectors have received new licences and approvals from the FRA.
Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has approved licences and authorisations for eight companies operating across non-banking financial sectors including asset management, venture capital, consumer finance and healthcare programme administration.
The approvals were issued under the authority’s current board chaired by Islam Azzam and are intended to support the expansion of healthcare management programmes, investment funds and consumer finance services, while broadening access to financial services in Egypt.
Within asset management and capital markets activities, Beltone Asset Management and Lantis received approvals covering portfolio management, securities underwriting promotion and coverage, and investment fund management activities.
Business Community Financial Investments was granted a licence to operate in venture capital activities.
Meanwhile, Al Salem Holding and Amgad Holding received approval to participate in company establishment activities involving securities issuance and capital increases.
SAFE was additionally licensed for securities underwriting promotion and coverage, alongside the management of real estate investment funds.
In healthcare administration activities, Med Mark TPA received a temporary licence to operate healthcare management programmes as a Third Party Administrator under the Unified Insurance Law No. 155 of 2024 and FRA Decision No. 229 of 2025 regulating the activity.
Within consumer finance activities, Malaz Capital obtained a consumer finance licence after submitting its application prior to FRA Decision No. 43 of 2026, which suspended the acceptance of new applications and preliminary approvals for consumer finance licences earlier this year.
According to the authority, the approvals fall within its regulatory and supervisory mandate over Egypt’s non-banking financial markets and instruments, including capital markets, insurance activities, mortgage finance, financial leasing, factoring, securitisation and futures exchanges.
