Egypt’s Nanovate Raises $1 Million to Advance Arabic AI Solutions
The investment will support product development, expand the startup’s technical team, and deepen its engagement across Arabic language markets.

Cairo-based artificial intelligence company Nanovate has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding in order to grow its portfolio of Arabic AI solutions. The investment will support product development, expand the startup’s technical team, and deepen its engagement across Arabic language markets. Nanovate specialises in developing AI tools that understand and generate Arabic — a challenging space due to dialect variation, script complexity, and limited data resources relative to languages like English. The startup’s product roadmap includes tools for dialogue systems, text generation, and language understanding tailored to Arabic’s unique structure. The funding round is backed by a group of angel investors, reflecting growing interest in “Arabic-first” AI ventures across the region. With this capital, Nanovate plans to refine its models, deploy in pilot settings across education, media, and enterprise sectors, and prepare for larger funding rounds. Nanovate joins a broader wave of Arabic-language AI ventures gaining traction, such as Widebot (which raised $3 million to build its Arabic language model) and Intella (which secured $12.5 million for Arabic speech solutions). These activities signal rising investor confidence in the viability of AI tech customized for the Arab world.
