81% of Saudi Companies Now Use Industry-Specific AI
Research also shows that 96% of organisations plan to invest in data quality and consolidation within the next year to support scalable AI adoption.
Saudi enterprises are increasing their use of AI, with 81% already implementing AI solutions tailored to their industries, according to a new YouGov survey commissioned by SAP. The findings were shared at the SAP NOW AI Tour in Riyadh, which gathered business leaders, policymakers, and technologists to explore how AI is shaping Saudi Arabia’s economic and digital transformation.
The research shows that 96% of organisations plan to invest in data quality and consolidation within the next year, signalling a national focus on building reliable data ecosystems to support scalable AI adoption. Companies identified customer satisfaction, at 52%, and revenue growth, at 47%, as top indicators of success, while 51% expect measurable returns on AI initiatives within two years.
“Saudi enterprises are moving beyond experimentation and into measurable, scalable AI outcomes,” said Dr. Fahd Nawwab, Vice President, SAP Saudi Arabia. “AI is being embedded across functions such as manufacturing and finance, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.”
The event also featured new SAP technologies including agentic AI for autonomous decision-making and the SAP Business Data Cloud, developed with Databricks. Case studies from Almosafer and Red Sea Global highlighted how AI is being applied to enhance travel experiences and employee engagement. The findings underscore Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a regional centre for advanced AI-driven innovation.
