Fuel Prices Increase Across Egypt
The Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) stated that the increase follows global price hikes.
The Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) raised gasoline and diesel prices across Egypt by EGP per litre, indicating that the increase matches global price hikes.
The price of 80-octane gasoline rose from EGP 10 to EGP 11 per litre. A litre of 92-octane was raised from EGP 11.5 to EGP 12.5 and a litre of 95-octane from EGP 12.5 to EGP 13.5, while the price of gas cylinders increased from EGP 75 to EGP 100. The new prices went into effect on March 22nd at midnight.
Established in 2019 by the Ministry of Petroleum, FAPC follows up and implements automatic pricing mechanisms for petroleum products on a quarterly basis.
