443 Green Public Housing Units to Be Built in the 10th of Ramadan City
Fueled by the state’s housing fund, these new units will be powered by solar energy and built on temperature-resistant materials.
Around 443 environmentally-friendly houses are set to be built in the 10th of Ramadan City. This comes as part of the Egyptian government’s 2022 initiative to build 25,000 affordable and green public housing units between 2023 and 2024.
With the support of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, these new housing units will be powered by solar energy and built on temperature-resistant materials, while featuring expansive green areas. The new project aims to provide affordable sustainable residency for citizens with limited to middle income.
Though around 35% of the construction work has already been done, the definite date of the project’s completion is yet to be determined.
